Participated in Getting Real 2026 (Virtual)

Thanks to a complimentary virtual pass generously provided through A-Doc’s community giveaway, I had the opportunity to participate in Getting Real 2026, the International Documentary Association’s biennial conference.

Throughout the conference, I attended sessions on archival filmmaking, AI and documentary ethics, and emerging funding models for nonfiction storytelling. I also joined the “Lights, Coffee, Action” networking roundtable, where I connected with fellow documentary filmmakers and industry professionals while exchanging ideas on archival research, funding, and documentary practice.

I’m grateful to A-Doc for making this experience possible and for supporting emerging documentary filmmakers through opportunities like this.
