Thanks to a complimentary virtual pass generously provided through A-Doc’s community giveaway, I had the opportunity to participate in Getting Real 2026, the International Documentary Association’s biennial conference. Throughout the conference, I attended sessions on archival filmmaking, AI and documentary ethics, and emerging funding models for nonfiction storytelling. I earned my MFA in Cinema & Television Directing from Columbia College Chicago. As the culmination of my graduate studies, my thesis film, Touched by Fate, was presented as part of the 2026 MFA Showcase at Film Row Cinema.
